Their process involves many factors, including an assessment of a professional’s years of service and unique contributions. This, combined with a comprehensive interview of the professional, allows them to make an appropriate decision regarding inclusion in Top Business Owners.
Drawing upon many years of expertise as an independent business owner, Michelle has served as a real estate agent for Hawaii Life since 2020. Additionally, she excelled in a similar role with Gold Coast Real Estate. Over the last near 15 years, Michelle has gained considerable expertise in extensive high-end sales and contract negotiations.
Prior to her current positions, Ms. Wood worked in sales and contract negotiations with J.B. Brokerage, a produce brokerage company, between 1989 and 2006.
While in college, Michelle fostered her entrepreneurial spirit through numerous endeavors, including a house-sitting company, a clothing and furniture design business, an organizational firm and a fashion trading firm. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is especially proud of being featured on the cover of Top Agent Magazine.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Wood is associated with the Hawaii Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and many local, social entities, including the Waikiki Yacht Club and the Hawaii Yacht Club. Dedicated to her community, Michelle contributes to those in need as a volunteer with the Assistance League and the American Cancer Society.
Subsequently, she became an Expert Network "distinguished realtor". Likewise, Ms. Wood was designated as an ePro through the Honolulu Board of Realtors, as well as a Realtor Associate and Broker Price Opinion Resource via the National Association of
Realtors.
In light of her outstanding body of work, she has been honored among the Best Realtors in
Hawaii by Best of Honolulu Magazine since 2011. In 2020, she was also lauded among America’s Top 100 Real Estate Agents. Earlier in her career, she was recognized as a Brequity Top Real Estate Agent, and has received the Aloha Ina Award between 2017 and 2020.
